The Choctaw Chronicle 

            Services for Mr. Devone ‘Pete’ Reese, 67 of Ackerman, were held on Monday, September 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. from Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman. Rev. George Buell and Rev. Samuel Dodd officiated the service with interment in the South Union United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman was in charge of arrangements.
            Mr. Reese was born on May 5, 1937 in Leake County and died on September 17, 2004 at Ackerman of liver failure.
            Mr. Reese was a retired employee with Taylor Machine Works and he was a member of South Union United Methodist Church in Ackerman.
            Pallbearers were Troy Fulce, Steve Fulce, Glen Sheedy, Tim Lidell, Richy Ford, Robert Lidell and J.B. McCart.
            Survivors include his wife, Alma Reese of Ackerman; one son, Dennis Reese of Louisville; one daughter, Ann McCart of Louisville; one brother, James Franklin Reese of Eupora; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
            Memorials may be made to South Union United Methodist Church in Ackerman.
